I'm not gonna lie, I wanted to try these new moisturizers from Jergens the second I saw an ad for them in a magazine recently {they were officially on my Target shopping list}. Deep Conditioning Shea Butter Moisturizer {sent for review} sounds like the most perfect thing to fight the ashy and keep my skin calm, smooth, and collected as the temp drops. But once I learned of the thoughtful and insightful project Jergens produced with actress Taraji P. Henson, I knew that a review of the product was not sufficient. I needed to spread the love and celebrate women's radiance and empowerment too!

Soap & Paper Factory Presents: The Bella Collection

For Soap & Paper Factory, inspiration for scents in the Bella Collection {products sent for editorial consideration} came from loved ones and loved places. Bella {the scent that I was sent, ha!}, a combines Bergamot, Grapefruit and Black Pepper to create a citrus-flavored explosion with a bit of sass {which is fitting, as it was inspired by its 15 year old namesake}. My Take: I was almost shocked by how much I like this! I used it initially to work through the tangled, matted mess that was London's 4a/b hair. She is tender headed, and worse than that, a total drama queen and she has a THICK head of hair! Using this made an impossible task way easier for both of us! Not only did it provide the necessary slip to get through the tangles, it was rich and creamy enough to add a beautiful sheen, visibly improved the texture, and sealed the ends of the two strand twists I put in her hair. What's more, while most products that work for her hair tend to be too heavy for my own (3b) hair, this worked beautifully in mine too! I use it at night and wake up to soft, shiny, bouncy curls. AND it smells so good!
