All About Avocados: Yummy Breakfast & Brunch Ideas
The USDA states 44% of Americans eat breakfast every day. This means over half of the American population skips the most important meal of the day! According to a recent study conducted by Harvard School of Public Health, “Skipping breakfast may lead to one or more risk factors, including obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes, which may in turn lead to a heart attack over time.”
So, if you’re just looking for new tips to jump start your day and boost your metabolism, author and host of Pati’s Mexican Table, Chef Pati Jinich, will be showcasing unique quick and easy recipe ideas for spring time breakfasts with a very special ingredient: Avocados! From eggs and pancakes, to parfaits and smoothies, fresh avocados from Mexico can be incorporated into any of your morning go-to meals. They’re an extremely versatile fruit that adds creamy, rich texture and nearly 20 good-for you nutrients taking your morning favorites to the next level.

Tia Mowry is on the Cover of Women's Running Magazine
I've been a fan of Tia and Tamera Mowry since their Sister Sister days, despite the annoying taunting I used to receive due to our shared curly girl hair do's when I was younger. It's been really nice to see both of their careers progress as well as their personal lives - I've been able to grow with them and now they both are wives and mothers just like me, so that makes them even more relatable. Tia looks fantastic as the cover women on the latest edition on Women's Running Magazine and her interview inside is very insightful....

Stay Hydrated Fashionably with Rive! (New Year, New You!)
I STRUGGLE with drinking as much water as I should, so doing a better job at staying hydrated is more of an all-the-time goal than a New Year's Resolution for me. One of the reasons getting proper hydration is something I'm trying to achieve, is that it is a critical part of health, fitness, and weight loss - which are really my ultimate goals. And I'm not alone: Over 50% of Americans make New Year's Resolutions and of that number, 40% deal with weight loss. You do the math. Rivé water bottles can serve as the first step in motivating. {Product provided for review}

My Journey To A Better Me: (Not So) Extreme Measures with Bodies byDesign Atlanta
I previously opened up about my struggles to loose weight and my body image issues, and while I share updates fairly regularly on Instagram, it's been a while since I've given any sort of updates here, so here goes...
Since I wrote that initial post in late March, I lost seven pounds and then promptly gained it right back, then lost 10 and gained it right back after I sprained my ankle in early August. I'm happy to say that I'm now 12 lbs down and have kept it off for well over a month now! It's a small victory in the grand scheme of things {really a mere drop in the bucket in relation to the amount I'd ultimately like to shed}, but it's a victory nonetheless.
