I talk a lot about my youngest daughters {probably because they are with me A LOT!!}, but I also have a 13 {!} year old daughter named Peyton. She's beautiful, smart, thoughtful, and oh so creative! She loves to read, music, beauty, and fashion - so she may not look a bit like me, but in a lot of ways, she really is a "mini" me {I put mini in quotes because at this point she's actually taller than me}! I thought it would be fun to let her be more involved with the blog {in hopes that will quench her desire to be active on social media outlets that I think she is SOOOO not ready for} by doing book and product reviews when appropriate and sharing her monthly favorites. Bath & Body Works + Matthew Robbins (A Press Release)

I generally don't just flat out post press releases, but I've already divulged my love for all things Bath & Body Works so I feel comfortable sharing this tidbit with you lovelies! I've always been obsessed with home fragrance and am a huge fan of BBW's Wallflowers and candles, so I was super intrigued by this information regarding their collaboration with celebrity event designer, Matthew Robbins. Combine that with my sudden (and inexplicable) preoccupation with Spring Cleaning-and I can honestly tell you, I can't wait to implement some of these tips myself! {I was not paid to share this information; I just thought you lovelies may find it interesting and helpful!}

Today's Smell Good: Sweet Scents for the Body from BBW!

The Sweethearts Collection is one of the latest offerings from Bath and Body Works and are just what you need to get you in a fab and flirty mood for the Spring! The trio of fragrances (a selection from Honey Sweetheart and Daisy Dreamgirl are pictured above, Berry Flirt is the third) was created to celebrate everything glamorous and girly!

Y'all know I love fragrance! I'm constantly using something different because so many different things smell so good to me and I tend to choose scents according to my mood (and I just realized that I'm using this series as an impetus to go through my abundant stash of Bath and Body Works products).

I'm not gonna lie, I feel like poop. Mustering up the will and strength to even get in the shower was a feat in and of its self. So I had to make sure to make the experience worth my while! I picked Bath and Body Works Pink Chiffon in an effort to pick up my mood and help me smell better. My nose (and the hubby) thanked me!

Bath and Body Works' Paris Nights AKA: Today's Smell Good!

Y'all know I love fragrance! I'm constantly using something different because so many different things smell so good to me and I tend to choose scents according to my mood (and I just realized that I'm using this series as an impetus to go through my abundant stash of Bath and Body Works products).

I selected Paris Nights from Bath and Body Works for my first at-home spa night of the year. The hubby is super sensitive to smells (the wrong fragrance gives him an instant headache), so I had him smell this before I used it to make sure it was okay with his senses! It received his coveted stamp of approval (my beloved Jurlique Herbal Recovery Night Cream did not fair as well, nor did the Snowed In 3-Wick Candle featured above) and obviously I love it too! And of course, I have a well established affinity towards goodies stamped with the name "Paris," so of course I adore this luxe set (and how I wish I had scooped up the gorgeous sparkly body mist while I had the chance)! 

Bath and Body Works' Love Love Love AKA: Today's Smell Good

Y'all know I love fragrance! I'm constantly using something different because so many different things smell so good to me and I tend to choose scents according to my mood. Today I selected Love Love Love from Bath and Body Works and am utterly intoxicated with its sweet effervescence! The first time I used it, I was sort of overwhelmed by how much it smelled like grape Jolly Ranchers, and I contemplated exchanging it (gotta love the 100% satisfaction guarantee that BBW has), but I'm SO GLAD I gave it another shot. This stuff is GOOD! And how much do you love the labels?!?! They're like a beautiful Monet!

Anyway, BBW describes the scent as "a lovely trio of white plum, peony petals and glittering vanilla musk." The top notes are succlulent berries, white plum, and juicy pear (which I suppose accounts for my thoughts of grape flavored hard candies), with mid notes of peony petals, lily of the valley, and freesia (and I am all about some freesia). All I know is, regardless of the description, my nose says it smells so so good! Bright and fruity/floral; just an uber feminine and unique fragrance. This is the perfect little fragrant pick me up to help you brighten up any gray day.

Bath and Body Works' Cashmere Glow AKA: Today's Smell Good!

Y'all know I love fragrance! I'm constantly using something different because so many different things smell so good to me and I tend to choose scents according to my mood. Today I selected Cashmere Glow from Bath and Body Works and feel cocooned in luxurious warmth. This stuff is GOOD! And I love the little touch of rose gold they added to the packaging with the caps; it adds to the overall luxe effect of the the product.

Anyway, BBW describes the scent as "a warm blend of golden peach and shimmering vanilla with a heart of soft cashmere musk, inspired by being wrapped in luxury." Um yeah... I think they hit the nail on the head with that description (and I tend to think those little tidbits are a tad corny)! Reading it helps me to understand why I love it so-I'm all about peach anything! I find the fragrance to be rich, warm, and sexy-perfect for the fall/winter and exactly the right thing to spritz when you want to cuddle up with your honey.

Right now, Bath and Body Works has a gorgeous gift set that is perfect to give (or receive/keep) and it's a pretty great value too at $32.50...

Remember those old Calgon commercials? You know, "Oh Calgon! Take me away!" That's exactly what I think of when I smell Malibu Heat, one of the latest additions to Bath and Body Works Signature Collection. It is like the beach in a bottle and in an instant you feel transported ocean side. The scent is described as "a fresh blend of juicy pineapple, California orange and creamy coconut milk inspired by hot pink sunsets and twenty-seven miles of beautiful beach." My nose translates that to fun in the sand, surf and sunshine, with hints of salt water, coconut tanning oil, and creamy pina coladas (with lots of fruit and strong rum). I think I may be in need of a tropical vacation ASAP (or maybe just some quality bath time with out the girls joining me or banging on the bathroom door until I get out; I'd honestly be happy with either option). 

Dueling Shave Creams: True Blue Spa vs. eos

I'm not a fan of shave creams/gels in canisters: not only do they inevitably rust (and leave a nasty ring on the tub), I always found them to be more drying than anything else. So for a long while, I would use one of Olay's body washes (preferably one of the ones with the moisture ribbons) as a shave cream. That was until a sales associate at Bath and Body Works convinced me to give the True Blue Spa Silky Smooth Shave Cream a try. Normally I would have balked at the $12 price tag, but I'm pretty sure there was a sale going on (as there always is) and I had a coupon (as I always do), so I went ahead and bought it. 

Germ Free California Dreaming with New Scents from Bath & Body Works Anti-Bacterial Pocketbacs

My 11 year old daughter, Peyton,  is obsessed with Bath & Body Works Anti-Bacterial Pocketbacs; every time she has a little bit of pocket money, she's buying a new one or one of the cute little holders. Well, confession time: after years of stocking up on them for her during back to school time, I think I now share her obsession! And with the steady introduction of new scents, and it's overall usefulness (not to mention it's cute factor), who can blame me!
