Fab Five Friday: Exfoliating Powders!
It's not a secret that I'm a big time fan of exfoliating - my oily complexion really responds well to it. One of my favorite modes of exfoliating are powders and these are a few of my favorites {so far}! {Product provided for review/feature consideration}

My Current Skincare Routine: January 2015
One of my goals this year is to be more consistent with my skin care. Another is to work through more products, so I'd like to introduce a monthly series: "My Current Skincare." It will include two posts, and introductory post, followed my final thoughts on the products after I've used them consistently for a month. So here's my first introductory post for January! {Product sent for review/feature consideration}

Fab Five Friday: Facial Cleansers (Winter Wonderland Beauty)
During the harsh winter months, cool, dry air can wreak havoc on your skin. It’s important to switch your skincare routine to compensate for the drying weather. Even my normally oily skin favors an adjustment in the type of cleanser I use in the cold, winter months - I make the switch from gels that target my oiliness to creams and foams for dry skin, in order to preserve my natural moisture. Here are a few of my favorite winter-friendly facial cleansers that will start your skin care routine with soothing moisture for winter parched skin. {Products sent for review consideration}

My Current Skincare Routine (Fall Into Beauty Edition)
From l-r: shu uemura Skin Purifier cleansing beauty oil premium a/i, Amarte Daily ExfoliPowder, Zensation Radiance Brightening Cleansing Cream, and L'Occitane Divine Lotion |
The last time I shared my regular skin care regimen was in May and for the most part {I switched some items in and out as I received them} it stayed the same. But as I've discussed before, my skin tends to go bonkers when the seasons transition from Summer to Fall, so I try to head it off at the pass by adjusting my skin care regimen. While the basic regimen stays the same {precleanse/exfoliate, cleanse, moisturize, and treat}, I switch to richer, thicker formulas, those that care for sensitive skin, and thanks to this awesome job o' mine {and the fact that I am getting older}, products that skew more towards higher price points {not that there is anything wrong with drugstore/affordable skin care! I still incorporate quite a few budget buys into my regimen. But there are days when I have to force myself to wash my face and it makes the experience that much better when I'm using a more luxurious product #dontjudgeme}. That being said, yes-these products were sent to me for review. Some of them are newer to my collection than others, so this will be more of an overview of what I'm currently using than a review {I'll post a review of products individually as I get a better feel for what I think about them. If you see something that you are particularly interested in, please leave a comment and let me know!}.

"Love Yourself Love Your Skin" with Amarte Skin Care!
Amarte Cosmetics started as a skin care initiative within a Korean dermatology clinic in 1994. One of the clinic’s nursing staff members developed an exceptional interest and ability in producing inspired skin care products to address patient concerns and beauty interests. Over the years these efforts became increasingly sophisticated and expansive with resoundingly positive feedback from patients and the dermatology community at large.
