Looking After You For A More Beautiful You

While beauty is in the eye of the beholder, there's nothing wrong with trying to look good in order to boost your self-esteem. Accept it: when you look good, you feel good, and when you feel good, everyone else around you notices your happier personality. Even if you aren't particularly vain, there's no shame in wanting to feel good about yourself when you look in the mirror. So you want to look more attractive? Here are some tried-and-true suggestions to help you do just that!

Work on your mental health

First and foremost, your mental state will manifest on the outside of your body. So, if you're stressed or worried about something, your skin will look dull, and you'll probably break out in acne. Not only that, but if you are unhappy with yourself, it will show in your face and posture. Investing time in your mental health by dealing with all of your personal issues will benefit you both mentally and physically. Here are some suggestions for improving your mental health:

  • In a journal or on a private blog, write down your problems. This can relieve some of the stress in your life.

  • Speak with your doctor. Mental health isn't something to take lightly, and if you're having trouble keeping on top of it, you should seek help.

  • Tell someone you care about how you're feeling. They will be able to help you if they understand what is making you feel this way.

Smile!

The most attractive thing anyone can wear is a smile. Admit it: when someone smiles at you, you get a warm feeling and feel compelled to return the gesture. A genuine smile will completely alter the dynamics of your face for the better. Find more reasons to smile every day, and you'll not only feel better, but you'll also look better.

If you're self-conscious about your smile because of missing or crooked teeth, affordable dentures could help you achieve the pearly white smile you've always desired. Once again, having this problem resolved will make you want to show off your new smile to everyone. Speak to your dentist about what kind of smile you’d like to achieve by showing examples of celebs you admire such as Udonis Haslem, Tom Cruise, Beyonce, or anyone else you think has a wonderful smile. They will then be able to create veneers and arrange braces to help you achieve your dream smile.

Take care of what you’re consuming

What's going on inside your body, like your mental health, will show on the outside as well. Keep a journal of everything you put into your body, including food, water, alcohol, and even drugs. Take a good look at it after that. You'll be surprised at how many things go into your body that could have an impact on your appearance. Here are a few options for changing that:

Drink more water - Did you know that the feeling of "hunger" is more often than not actually thirst? Increasing your daily water intake to the recommended 2 liters will help to clear up any confusion. Another trick to try is to drink a glass of water and wait ten minutes after you think you're hungry. You can eat something if you still feel hungry, but if not, you've just rehydrated your body!

Try and eat healthier - We've all heard the saying "A moment on the lips leads to a lifetime on the hips" and rolled our eyes, but it's not entirely incorrect. You might think to yourself, "Oh, just one snack won't hurt," but it will! Even if you don't gain weight as quickly as other people, the garbage in junk food will show up on the outside as acne, sweat, skin discoloration, and other problems. Rethink your eating habits and include more nutritious foods in your diet. You'll not only be able to control your weight, but you'll also notice aesthetic differences in your skin and feel more confident in yourself.

Drink less alcohol - When consumed in moderation, alcohol is perfectly safe. However, even one glass of wine or a pint of beer in excess can be harmful to the body. This can be avoided by reducing your alcohol consumption and saving a lot of money!

Quit smoking

We don't need to tell you about the health risks of smoking, but did you know that it also has an impact on your appearance? If you haven't already noticed, smoking causes your skin to age much faster than it would otherwise. Your teeth will eventually turn yellow and/or fall out, and you will have a strong cigarette odor. Quit smoking right now to improve your appearance and save your life.

Try and get outside more often

Your skin will appear dull if you are cooped up inside all day, whether for work or school. Getting as much sun and fresh air as possible will help to give your skin a natural glow, regardless of skin tone! To avoid skin cancer caused by the sun's rays, remember to apply sun cream. Furthermore, being outside naturally improves your mood, so you'll get a free pick-me-up there as well!

Experiment with makeup

You don't have to wear a lot of makeup to look attractive. In fact, makeup can sometimes have the exact opposite effect! Adding emphasis to features like your lashes, eyebrows, and even your beard can completely transform your appearance. Experiment with various looks to see which one makes you the happiest.

Get more sleep!

Sleep is vital for the body, and if you don't get enough of it, you'll be irritable, grumpy, and likely have large bags under your dark eyes. To avoid this, make an effort to get the recommended 8 hours of sleep each night. Here are some suggestions to help you get a better night's sleep:

  • If you're more anxious at night, listen to hypnosis as you fall asleep. It will assist you in falling asleep quickly.

  • Take CBD oil into consideration.

  • At least an hour before bedtime, avoid eating.

  • To avoid distractions, turn off your devices.

Use these tips to look and feel beautiful - inside and out!
