We’ve broken free of the winter and the sun is beginning to shine! So, it’s time to start thinking about the upcoming summer months. Chances are you have a bunch of plans scheduled in and you’re going to want to look good for all of them! Now, many of us find ourselves in the same situation year after year - the weather will change, our winter clothes will become too heavy and warm and we’ll turn to our wardrobes to find something a bit more heat appropriate. The problem? Most of the time we don’t have anything ready that we’re happy with. So, start planning and shopping now. Summer clothes are cheaper out of season - so you can save some money - and there will be more stock available, meaning you’re more likely to get exactly what you want in the right size. Here are just a few essentials you should consider investing in!
T-Shirts
T-shirts are a staple item. They’re great for days when you want to cover your shoulders from the sun’s rays but don’t want to overheat. Now, there are so many designs out there that you’ll really have to whittle down your options to find the perfect selection of tees for you. It’s always a good idea to have some plain t-shirts in a variety of colors, so you can add one into whatever outfit you might want to wear. But cute graphic tees are great too! They can have pictures, fun slogans or anything else you could imagine on a t-shirt!
Maxi Dresses
Maxi dresses are a summer wardrobe essential. They’re a casual kind of dress. They are loose fitting and tend to have ruching under the bust or around the waist to give the dress a little more shape, making them flattering for your figure. The skirts of the dress tend to be made from a lightweight, flowing material that lets the breeze through. Though they generally reach the floor, they’ll keep you cool and comfortable on even the sunniest of days. If you want to show off your shape a little more in one of these dresses, all you need to do is add a belt. This is the perfect summer outfit that isn’t too casual, so you can wear it to lunch with friends, a date, or anything else you might be planning on doing in the days.
Sandals and Flip Flops
Let’s not forget footwear. Say goodbye to chunky boots and trainers. Instead, free your feet and make sure that they don’t overheat with sandals and flip flops. Sandals are perfect for going out. Flip flops are great for lounging around the garden, heading to the beach, sitting beside a pool, or any other situation where you don’t need much support and could do with being able to slip your shoes on and off quickly and conveniently. Sliders are another good option!
These, of course, are just a few wardrobe essentials you should aim to add to your summer wardrobe. Be organized, save and find the best deals!
