My thoughts: 

I'm still too fresh off reading it to put my feelings in words. I was largely listening to the Audible version, occasionally reading along with the hard copy, or pausing it all together when I got to bits that I wanted to read faster than I could listen. Somewhere near Chapter 47, I abandoned the Audible version altogether as I lost all patience and had to devour all of the words. Sarah J Maas has completely outdone herself. I was so done with Chaol somewhere between Crown of Midnight through to Queen of Shadows, but Tower of Dawn is his redemption and so much more. Sarah's ability to connect dots in order to create a larger image is awe-inspiring. For those that balk at reading Assassin's Blade - while I whoelheartedly recommend reading it prior to Throne of Glass, but definitely prior to Queen of Shadows, and DEFINITELY prior to Empire of Storms, it is a MUST READ prior to Tower of Dawn. I think I may have liked this more than ACOWAR (A Court of Wings and Ruin for those that don't know)- and that is saying A LOT! I'm kicking myself for taking so long to read it (I actually pre-ordered it AND got the Audible copy on Release Day), and I will definitely be re-reading it many times in my future.

What's your last 5 star read? Who are some of your must read authors? My taste skews towards Young Adult Fantasy and some of my must reads are Sarah J. Maas (obviously), Leigh Bardugo (I HIGHLY recommend the Six of Crows duology), Laini Taylor (I'm currently reading Dreams of Gods and Monsters, the 3rd and final book in her Daughter of Smoke and Bones trilogy), and Sabaa Tahir (An Ember in the Ashes solidified my love for the sub-genre).
