Though this story imagines monsters in their off-season, this is a great monster-filled read for fall!

Snow plow, street cleaner, cherry picker, bulldozer—there are all kinds of trucks at work in this story.

With a gentle bedtime ending, this is a great bedtime or naptime read!

Misa Saburi is a new talent in children's illustration, and her sweet characters are completely charming.

BETTER OFF UNDEAD

Zombies make for the perfect middle school metaphor; because, aren't all middle-schoolers undead/zombies, shambling their way through adolescence? Funny and compassionate, this is a sweet spot for Preller.

The undead don't seem to fade away. The humor of a zombie in middle school with normal kids will appeal to the audience, boys and girls.

Saving the planet, one river at a time, ties into curriculum and service learning in middle school.
