Nancy Tillman Warms Hearts with You and Me and the Wishing Tree {Wunderkind Reads}

We had the pleasure of receiving an early copy of beloved children's picture book author Nancy Tillman's latest book, You and Me and the Wishing Trees  (Feiwel & Friends, 9/6/16).

In this story, Nancy -- bestselling author of favorites such as On the Night You Were Born  and I'd Know You Anywhere, My Love -- once again perfectly captures the special bond between parent and child by giving us a way to express our wishes. Nancy is brilliant when it comes to expressing expansive, emotional subject matter in text and art. For anyone who has ever wished on a star, here is a new way to think and talk about wishes.

The book is the perfect bedtime story - soft and gentle as a goodnight kiss. It was a literal pleasure to read it to my girls the first time, and each and every time since {we read it multiple times a week}. It would make the perfect gift for baby showers, whether for first time parents or pros. I had to include the above images and text with the post because I couldn't quite express how PERFECT Nancy's words express the love and affection that we have for our little {and even not so little} ones.
