Coatigan
An essential fall trend is the coatigan. A cross between a coat and a cardigan, it's usually a coat style piece, knitted in cardigan soft wool. It is a good in-between item for when the temperature drops, but it not raining cats and dogs quite yet.

Go for a longer line in khaki, rust or gray. Team this with a shorter outfit for contrast. Shorts or a mini dress work well. Remember that the longer line of the coatigan will elongate your body, making you seem taller and slimmer.
Shearling
A huge FW 2106 trend is shearling or sheepskin as it is more widely known. Fantastic at keeping you warm in a cold spell; there are lots of different ways to wear this trend.
For example, you could try an aviator style coat like the ones available from urban outfitters. You may even be able to get an Urban Outfitters discount on your purchase with a voucher or coupon.
Lace
Just like SS 2016, lace is going to be big, this season. However, instead of lots of cream and white, we will also see quite a bit of black lace being featured in high street collections. This is perfect to achieve a feminine but slightly gothic look, which is lots of fun to wear this fall.
Team with a plum lipstick and dark eyeliner for a witchy feel perfect for Halloween and the whole of October in general.
Ankle socks
If you fancy injecting a bit of 90’s retro fun into your outfits, why not have a go at wearing ankles socks with short dresses? To set the look off completely you will need to combine them with jelly shoes with a big cleated sole or a chunky boot like the famous UK brand Dr. Martens.
Leather jacket
Another perfect item to compliment a floral shirt dress is a leather jacket. This will give you the perfect combination of feminine and rock and roll. Also, leather biker jackets look great with jeans or black trousers too and are a fantastic multi-purpose item.
There are also plenty of pleather or faux leather jackets on the market now that look very realistic. This means if you're a vegan you can still rock this look, worry free.
Evening wear
If you have a more formal occasion coming up, you might want to consider treating yourself to a maxi dress. A maxi can be dressed up or down so don't worry that you won't wear it enough to justify paying for it. Go for a deep V-neck in autumnal colors like brown and orange to be spot on trend for this season.

Until next time...
