Fab Five Friday: Exfoliating Powders!

It's not a secret that I'm a big time fan of exfoliating - my oily complexion really responds well to it. One of my favorite modes of exfoliating are powders and these are a few of my favorites {so far}! {Product provided for review/feature consideration}

dermalogica Daily Microfoliant removes dulling surface debris and evens skin tone, revealing brighter, smoother skin. Gentle enough for daily use, it's designed with a unique rice-based powder formula that activates upon contact with water, releasing papain, salicylic acid and rice enzymes that micro-exfoliate dead cells, instantly leaving skin smoother and brighter. It has no scent {which is perfect for those with sensitive skin and sensibilities} can either be the perfect amount of texture for a scrub you can feel, or absolutely silky. It was my favorite part of my double cleanse process and the reason why I fell in love with powders - and had to find even more!

Use as an allover face mask, targeted spot treatment, lip scrub, or traditional exfoliator. Let me just start by saying if Josie made it - I'm all about it - so I may be a little biased. In fact, it is because that I associate Josie Maran with all things argan that I even thought to mix it with a bit of cleansing oil and that notion was practically life changing {well for my skin at least}!

Bioré Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub is an ingenious concentrated powder cleanser specially formulated that foams up on contact with water, leaving skin 2.5 times as clean as a basic cleanser. The formula gently exfoliates while forming tiny bubbles that dive deep into pores to break up oil and impurities. When you rinse the foam away, oil, debris and dead cells are swept away, for instantly smoother, softer texture and visibly tighter pores after just one use! This is an inexpensive and easily accessible way to try out powder exfoliants. This formula gently exfoliates dry flakes without over-scrubbing. I also really love that it foams and it has a nice, fresh scent. The packaging is also really novel, it's sort of a flip top that operates at the push of a button!

NUDE Detox Gentle Brightening Fizzy Powder Wash is a powder-to-foam treatment wash that polishes and brightens with gentle enzymes and vitamin C, leaving even delicate skin glowing. It is formulated to reveal smooth, soft, luminous skin with this gentle yet effective brightening wash, which transforms from powder to a lush, effervescent lather. A custom enzyme blend delicately exfoliates dull skin and impurities, while multiple sources of vitamin C brighten skin. This formula is perfect for delicate or sensitive skin and it offers a similar foaming action as the Biore {but it's so on another level!}.

Amarte Daily Exfolipowder is a plant seed-based polishing cleanser that removes dry, dull skin to reveal the smooth, radiant face beneath. Gentle enough to use every day, its unique combination of botanicals makes it suitable for all skin types. Its key ingredients include arbutin (an antioxidant that brightens and calms), genistein (an antioxidant that lightens and helps prevent DNA damage), and purified nano-sulfur (to brighten, exfoliate, and purify). I reach for this one when I want a really luxe skin care experience - the lather that this produces is truly swoon worthy. 

So if you couldn't tell, I'm a fan of exfoliating powders! I don't think I've met one {yet} that I didn't like for one reason or another and I'm on always on the hunt for a new one to add to my stash. I've got Tatcha Polished Deep Rice Enzyme Powder on my wishlist to try out next, but I'm open to suggestions! What else is out there for me to test? Inquiring minds want to know!
