L'Occitane's RELAUNCHED Peony Line!

L'Occitane recently honored their fantastic, best-selling Peony body care line by re-launching their classic Pivoine Flora or “Peony Flower” body care and fragrance range with new and elevated packaging, AND a new, never-before produced skincare & cosmetics line {like CC cream & lip balms!} called Pivoine Sublime or “Sublime Peony." Formulated with propriety peony extract, the new collection will focus on ‘perfecting skin’ by helping to visibly correct uneven textures and minimize the appearance of fine lines and pores for simple, natural beauty. {Product provided for review/feature consideration}

The peony is known as the “king of flowers,” valued for its unparalleled beauty and rarity. With over 650 known varieties of this enchanting flower grown worldwide, expert Jean-Luc Riviere has devoted over 13 years to develop a unique strand of peonies specifically for L’OCCITANE. Carefully cultivated in the foothills of the Vercors Mountains in the Drôme region of France, L’OCCITANE captures the natural and unique essence of this rare flower in its Peony collection. 

The Pivoine Flora Fragrance & Body Care features a delicate combination of zesty, fresh notes paired with soft scents of sandalwood and white musk,  finishing with the captivating peony fragrance.

· Top notes of blackcurrant, bergamot & pink pepper

· Heart notes of peony & freesia

· Base notes of white musk, sandalwood & peach

The Collection includes:

Pivoine Flora Eau de Toilette ($50) - 75ml: enhanced with real peony extract from the Drôme region of the South of France, this Eau de Toilette captures the subtle scent of the ‘flower with a thousand petals’, in a beautifully fresh and feminine fragrance.

· Pivoine Flora Shower Gel ($20) - 250ml: when in contact with water this shower gel transforms into light-weight foam to gently cleanse the body while preserving skin’s natural balance. 

· Pivoine Flora Bath Oil ($36) - 250ml: infused with nourishing sunflower oil, just two tablespoons of this rich formula will turn water into a milky bath to cleanse skin, leaving it soft and moisturized with hints of the fresh, delicate peony fragrance.

· Pivoine Flora Beauty Milk ($25) - 250ml: formulated with shea butter and sunflower oil, this ultra-light body milk absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving it soft and delicately perfumed with traces of peony. 

· Pivoine Flora Petal Soap ($7) - 75g: with a plant-based formula, this bar soap gently cleanses the skin, leaving it soft and delicately perfumed with a fresh, floral scent.

· Pivoine Flora Hand Cream ($12) - 30ml: enriched with shea butter, vitamin E and peony extract, this light weight, non-greasy formula helps to moisturize, soften and nourish hands, leaving them delicately perfumed with a tender, floral scent. 

The Pivoine Sublime Skincare & Cosmetics collection focuses on the absolute perfection of the peony flower. The new skincare and cosmetic line helps achieve the coveted natural beauty look of French women. These new products offer simple and natural perfection through a collection of five products formulated with plant-based ingredients and L’OCCITANE’s proprietary Perfecting Peony Complex. The patent-pending complex includes a combination of peony extract and mineral-based optical correctors that will help to visibly correct uneven textures and minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines.

The products in the collection feature -

Peony Extract: derived from the bulb of the plant, this extract helps to visibly correct skin-texture irregularities.

Hyaluronic Acid: actively works to hydrate and help plump the skin.

Chestnut Extract: helps reduce the appearance of complexion irregularities and promote a fresh glow. 

Mineral-Based Pigments & Pearlizers: multi-directional pigments use light reflecting properties to minimize the appearance of imperfections while pearlizers give skin a translucent, rosy glow.

· Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Essence ($48) - 30ml: this fresh, ultra-light and silicone-free formula helps to visibly improve the skin’s quality. It can be used twice a day as a serum, or before makeup application as a primer. With use, skin feels smooth and velvety, while complexion looks even-toned, fresh and luminous.

· Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Cream ($42) - 50ml: enhanced with our patented “smart hydration” formula, this cream can adapt to changes in climate and humidity levels, for moisture up to 24 hours. Infused with chestnut extract, skin can breathe while staying soft and supple with a beautiful, dewy finish.

· Pivoine Sublime Tinted Lip Balm ($16 each) - 4g: formulated with shea butter, this creamy balm gently glides on to nourish, smooth and protect lips with a subtle tint of color. Available in four shades including Rose, Amber, Plum and Sheer- all including SPF 25. It can also be used to add a gentle pop of color to cheeks! 

· Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Mist ($24) - 100ml: a perfect source of hydration at any time of day, this multi-faceted beauty mist is the solution to simple, effortless beauty. As a toner before or a setting spray after makeup application, you can use this mist in the morning to quench and hydrate face, during the day to refresh and help refine skin texture, and at night to help revitalize and enhance make-up. · Pivoine Sublime CC Cream ($34) - 30ml: enriched with SPF 20, this color-correcting cream helps reduce complexion irregularities of the face and neck. Its versatile, light-weight formula can be used as a smoothing, illuminating make-up base or on its own for a naturally flawless look. {Right now it's only available in shades light and medium, so I'm hoping that they'll release some more (brown girl friendly) shades soon!}
