Fight Summer Boredom with The Snipe Hunt Game!

Every parent has those days now and then when their kids are simply driving them insane. They're bored, they're hungry, there is nothing on TV, their toys are no fun ­ the complaints are never ending and trying to get anything done is impossible. Instead of losing patience, parents can now send their kids on a hunt to find a mythical creature hiding in their home. The Snipe Hunt game turns a classic camping story into a real life game. Simply turn on theSnipe, find a good hiding spot for it and send your kids out on the search! The Snipe hunt game can be played with two people, two teams or special single seeker play, and incorporates both indoor/outdoor activity and good old fashion fun. The object of Snipe is to be the first team/person to find the other team/persons snipe and return it to its nest. After the players have hidden their snipe the other player will try to find it. After a period of time, if the Snipes have not been discovered, they will chirp and then their eyes will light up. Each game comes with two snipes, (named Biela and Smartin) and a Snipe nest. The packaging tells the story behind the legendary campfire animals.

We had the perfect opportunity to test the game out - we had a house full of company, including 4 kids in addition to our own. The kids ranged in age from 3 to 8 and was a good mix of boys and girls. All six kids had a BLAST playing the game: they formed teams and picked a snipe to hide, then went of in groups to hunt the other teams snipe down! They had fun and all the parents were happy because the kids were occupied {ie - not asking us for something every 15 seconds}. They were able to play inside and outside and it was a great way for them to expend some restless energy.
