Why Your Family Needs Sun Lotion This Summer

Most people are more than aware that kids need to wear suntan lotion during the summer months. However, few folks know any information about why it is so important. To help set the record straight today, we’re going to list a number of ways in which direct sunlight could have a nasty effect on your little ones. The same things can happen to adults too though, so it’s vital that you don’t overlook your safety. To learn more, take a look at the infographic.

Telangiectasia is caused by repeated sun exposure. It is a condition where small blood vessels dilate under the skin, and it can be very dangerous.

You might notice unusual or irregular coloring in the skin after prolonged sun exposure. That happens because the sun can cause an uneven production of melanin.

Wrinkles and sagging are common in people who spend too long in the sun. That is due to UV radiation that breaks down the skin’s protective tissue.

The sun is also known to decrease the skin’s immune function. Often, that is the most serious implication of spending too much time outdoors in the summer. Cancerous and precancerous skin lesions can form, and they usually require medical attention.

Now you know a little more about how much damage to sun can cause to your skin and that of your family, we hope you will be more inclined to get the cream on early this summer. At the end of the day, bad things can happen if you fail to be careful.
