A scarf is a fabulous accessory; it can be worn to any occasion, at any time of year. It’s perfect for layering an outfit, or simply adding a little extra interest to a look. However, many people don’t know that their scarves can be worn multiple ways. Read on to learn lots of different ways to wear 1 scarf, that you can tailor to any occasion:

Knotted

The knotted scarf looks really fun and different, and many people don’t realise that you can do it! All you need to do is loop your scarf around your neck as normal, then make a figure 8 with the middle. Take one loose end and put that through the bottom of the figure 8, and then take the other loose end and pull that through the top of the figure 8. Pull and you’ll instantly have a knotted effect!

Infinity

The infinity scarf comes ready made these days; just one endless loop that you can quickly throw around your neck for warmth. However, you can always make your own by tying the ends of the scarf together. Then make a figure 8 and loop the new loop over your neck. Your neck will be lovely and toasty!

Tucked In

A really simple way to wear your scarf; tucked into a waist belt to create a layered, yet shapely look. One of my favorite fashion tips!

The Long Scarf Solution

If you have a long scarf that you don’t really know what to do with, there are a few solutions you can try. First of all, try folding the scarf in half, and then draping it around your neck. Then take a loose end of the scarf and pull it through the loop. Twist your loop to make another one, and pull the other loose end through. Adjust as needed.

Belted

Rather than tuck your scarf into a belt, why not use the scarf as your belt?! This can look very chic and fashionable with a silky scarf.

The Hair Accessory

Scarves can also be used as hair accessories. Create a messy bun and wrap your scarf around it to make a statement, or tie it at the top of your head near your fringe as a quirky headband

The Waterfall

The waterfall scarf looks very cool and is simple to do. First, wrap the scarf around your neck twice. Then take the left corner and tuck it on the right side. Grab the other end and tuck it underneath and adjust until it has a waterfall effect.

Hang Loose

Definitely the easiest one of them all; just let your scarf hang loose! It looks cool and casual, especially with a cashmere scarf

Bag Accessory

If the weather is too hot, you can still use your scarf as a cool bag accessory.

Of course some of these looks will be better with a wooly scarf, while some will be better with a summer scarf. Test out the looks on a variety of scarves to see what you like best. Have fun! Until next time...
