Stay Hydrated Deliciously with Cascade Ice!

Did you know that March is National Nutrition Month? We may be more than half way through with it, but it's never too late to pay special attention to your diet and nutrition! In fact, now is the perfect time to reassess your health goals for the year and make smarter choices when it comes to nutrition - so here are some easy tips how to make more nutritious choices! {Product sent for review/feature consideration}

Here are some examples for healthier substitutions you can make in your every day diet:

1. Try cooking Quinoa instead of white rice for some variety and more fiber.

Why?

o White rice is linked to obesity when consumed on a daily basis
o Quinoa has over 21% of the recommended daily intake of fiber, where rice only has 14%. Quinoa also offers 50% more protein!

2. Substitute those French fries for kale chips.

Why?

o Fries are saturated in fat and salt which makes you vulnerable to diabetes, among other diseases.

o Not only are kale chips delicious, they are full of powerful antioxidants which boost energy and can help you maintain healthy skin.

3. Replace sodas with flavored sparkling waters like Cascade Ice, which has Zero Calories!

Why?

o An average 20oz soda has 66 grams of sugar!

o Cascade Ice sparkling water has no sugar, sodium, calories, gluten or caffeine.

I've had the chance to try a couple different flavors of these tasty, refreshing drinks {my absolute favorite being Coconut, obviously} and I love them. I have issues with recognizing when I'm thirsty and therefore tend to not drink enough in general. So having these bottles of yummy sparkling water on hand are really a surefire way to make sure that I stay hydrated. What are your tips and tricks for staying hydrated? Do you have any healthy substitutes for your diet so that keep you mindful of your nutrition? My inquiring mind wants to know! Leave a comment below and let me know what you think! Until next time...
