In an effort to be consistent with not only my skin care routine, but also my posting routine, for the past few Saturdays I've been using and sharing a different mask on Instagram. I call it "on Saturday's, we mask," and it's been really enjoyable for me. I've decided to carry it on over here to le blog, so I'm happy to kick it off with Bioré's new Self Heating One Minute Mask {sent for review}.
The pitch:
Bioré Self Heating One Minute Mask: In just one minute, this thermal mask warms to open pores, draws out and dissolves 2.5 times more dirt, oil, and surface toxins than a basic cleanser, and rinses them clean away with an invigorating cooling sensation. Infused with natural charcoal, this breakthrough mask melts dirt and oil better than the leading competitive mask. So clean your pores from the dirt, oil and makeup of the past and clear the problem.
I was super excited to give this mask a try - it truly is unique! After washing my face and splashing it with water, I applied the mask. It heats on contact with water to open pores and uses charcoal to draw out impurities and trap them. After spreading it all over, you're instructed to massage it into the skin for one minute. Not only does it feel really good on the face, you only have to leave it on for a minute {it doesn't dry}, so if you don't have time for a regular mask, this one is perfect! Plus it smells fantastic.
One of the other unique things about this mask is that it comes in 4 individual packets, which is sort of cool {and convenient for traveling}. I found that there was more than enough product in the packet to put a thick coat of it on my face {I probably could have spread it a little thinner and applied it on my neck and décolletage as well, something I need to remember the next time I use it}. However, I do wish there were a few more packets included - especially since it is suggested that you use the mask 2-3 times a week.
I thoroughly enjoyed using this mask! I feel like my skin looked less congested after using it, the removal process were super easy {it literally just wipes off}, and my skin felt really clean but not tight or dry. I followed the mask with a gentle toner, my beloved Lancome DreamTone serum, and a moisturizer with SPF. My skin looked so good, I didn't want to use any foundation! I just used a bit of concealer to cover up a blemish and a few red spots and I was good to go!
The New Bioré charcoal products are available at select food, drug and mass merchant stores for $7.99. Do you think you'll be trying this one out? What is your favorite facial mask? Do you enjoy this type of post {ie, should I continue to share here or keep it on Instagram}? My inquiring mind wants to know! Leave a comment below and let me know what you think! Until next time...
