An Attempt at Striping (Mani Monday)

Disclaimer: I am not a nail blogger or professional (so sometimes I color outside of the lines and my cuticles look a bit ragged). I am merely a girl who LOVES nail polish!

I'm going to keep it simple this Mani Monday {though my manicure sort of isn't}. I tried my hand {ha!} at nail striping but obviously, I need to brush up {ha!} on my skills a bit {the puns are really flowing this morning, huh?}

I started with a gorgeous, pale grey creme from NCLA  called Downtown Dollface {first featured here} as my base. On my ring finger, I topped it with another NCLA shade, High Above the City Lights {feature here}, a beautiful rose gold/pink colored, irregularly shaped flakey/glitter. On my middle finger, I use some nail striping tape and then painted a coat of L'Oreal nail lacquer in Grecian Grey. On my pointer finger I used Sinful Colors Professional Nail Lacquer in 24/7 {how awesome is that hot, fluorescent pink-though honestly, I could do with a more even formula}, and I also used it with a dotting tool to do the polka dots on my thumb.

I'm not gonna lie, this is one of my favorite mani's I've done in a while, so I'm looking forward to recreating it with different colors {and perfecting my striping and dotting techniques}. What do you think? What color combo should I use next? And what are you rocking on your tips this Mani Monday? My inquiring mind wants to know! Leave a comment below and let me know what you think! Until next time...
