Yep, add it to the list! I'm officially obsessed with Micellar Waters. I mean, what's not to love? They are the lazy girl's best friend for facial cleansing-super easy to use, insanely effective, and way better than facial cleansing cloths {no offense, because I still love them too}! Here are three of my faves (so far) and two that I'd love to get my hands on next!
Melvita Rose Water Fresh Nectar Micellar Water {sent for review way back when} - This is was my first, and I'll admit, initially I had no idea how to use it! I used to use as a toner {I discussed that here}, and since I didn't really feel the traditional sensation that you get when you use a toner, I put it to the side. Once I learned what micellar waters actually do {remove makeup, cleanse, and tone in one glorious step}, I pulled it back out and began to use it almost religiously. It has a super delicate rose scent and is even gentle on the eyes, where it works wonders to remove most makeup {I'm not gonna lie, there still tend to be some remnants of some of my waterproof liners and mascaras, but it does a decent job nonetheless}.
Nuxe Micellar Cleansing Water with Rose Petals {purchased by me} - once I discovered my love for micellar waters, I sought out to find a more easily accessible one and in the process discovered Nuxe. This one is quite lovely, as it should be for the $24 price tag {I digress}. If you couldn't tell already, these waters tend to have something in common-they're French, rose infused, and/or ultra luxe.
Le Couvent des Minimes 3 in 1 Micellar Water {sent for review} - This one is divine! Oh the smell! Oh the exquisite way it cleans my skin without leaving it sticky! Je t'aime! J'adore! The only caveat with this one is it stings the eyes like a mother, so it's not so great for removing eye makeup. Other than that, it's c'est magnifique!
Caudalie Make-Up Remover Cleansing Water {on my wish list} - They have me head over heels for their Divine Oil, so of course I'm dying to get my hands on this beauty {and loads else from the brand}. I'm really intrigued by this one because, lo and behold, while it's French, it's not rose infused! This one features a fresh fragrance that includes orange and lemon blossom, watermelon and mint leaves. Oh la la!
So there you have it, my latest obsession! Have you tried Micellar Water? Any of the one's on my list? Any recommendations? My inquiring mind wants to know! Leave a comment below and let me know what you think! Until next time...
I tried micellar waters from Avene and Lierac, and I'm not impressed at all. I love two-phase makeup removers instead!
