Mani Monday: Laurel Canyon Lolita (North of Sunset Collection)

Disclaimer: I am not a nail blogger or professional (so sometimes I color outside of the lines and my cuticles look a bit ragged). I am merely a girl who LOVES nail polish!

Meet the sexiest and savviest colors in the room with our four hottest shades. They know their way around town and they're always on the VIP list! That's how NCLA describes their latest collection, North of Sunset {sent for review}. The four shade collection is perfect for the fall and is a mix of glitters and cremes. As I stated in my last Mani Monday post, I was immediately drawn to My Dad Invented That {because it's freakin' glitteriffic}, so it's the first shade that I picked to wear, BUT something about Laurel Canyon Lolita spoke to me too so...

I had to put it on Kenzie's toes! And it was SO pretty, I had to pick it for my next Mani Monday post {plus the mere mention of the name of the lacquer puts Lana Del Ray on perpetual loop in my head-"Hey Lolita hey. Hey Lolita hey...}

Laurel Canyon Lolita is described as "not your ordinary fuchsia, it is, dare we say, grown up? This baby was born and raised in Laurel Canyon, so she's wise beyond her years and sexy as all hell." I see it as more of a muted, plum creme with a beyond fantastic formula {I used two coats for my mani and one coat for Kenzie's toesies-as you can see, you can get full opaqueness with one coat}. I love the color, but I wanted to get semi creative with my mani this week, so I used Butter London's Matte Finish Top Coat to do a french mani on my pinkies, polka dots on my middle finger, and a full matte finish on my thumb {leaving my ring and pointer fingers glossy}

All NCLA lacquers are five free: never tested on animals, free of formaldehyde, DBP, Camphor, and Toluene. They retail for $16 a piece and are available at shopncla.com.

Stay tuned for the other shades in this collection {besides My Dad Invented That}-Drop Dead Gorgeous and The Spa Comes to Me. What are you wearing this Mani Monday? I really want to know! Leave a comment below and let me know what's on your tips! Until next time...
