From the uber-popular baby brand aden+anais, mum+bub {products sent for review} is formulated for moms (mum) and their babies (bub) and is perfect for use by the whole family.  The line is all natural and contains the Australian wonder fruit pawpaw.  With a fresh, sandalwood scent, the entire line (ultra-gentle lotion, hair+body wash, and soothing ointment) smells great and feels amazing on skin.  The soothing ointment is pretty much the ultimate - great for cracked skin, chapped lips, insect bites, cuts, diaper rash, you name it!


The mum + bub product line features signature formulations made with fresh, fermented pawpaw fruit, naturally-derived ingredients and a light Australian Sandalwood scent in the body wash and lotion. Equally significant are ingredients that are NOT included in the line, like artificial colors, animal products, sulfates, petroleum, hormone disrupters, soy, gluten, phthalates, parabens, and more. The pawpaw fruit, at the core of the range, is known to relieve, cleanse, and protect even the most delicate of skin when applied topically, soothing skin irritations including diaper rash, eczema, and minor cuts.

mum + bub has made its debut with three initial products: soothing ointment, a petroleum free, multi-purpose balm formulated with 50% pawpaw fruit per gram to relieve diaper rash, eczema, minor cuts and scrapes, insect bites, chafing and other minor skin irritations, ($15.95 for a tube, $28.95 for a jar); ultra-gentle lotion, a non-greasy, fast-absorbing lotion that leaves skin silky and hydrated ($15.95); and hair + body wash, a tear-free, mild conditioning wash to gently cleanse both skin and hair ($15.95). All formulations are free of parabens and dyes, sulfates, gluten and soy, and are not tested on animals.

I have to admit, I initially thought that I would reserve this collection to use exclusively on the girls, but I find myself reaching for them {particularly the ointment and ultra gentle lotion} more and more. The girls love how the hair + body wash lathers up when they use their little sponges-I love how it gets them so clean, soft, and sweet smelling. The lotion absorbs into their skin like a dream and after I noticed how soft it left my hands after using it on them, I couldn't resist slathering it on the rest of me after my own shower. Even the hubby enjoys the light yet effective formula! But the ointment is truly the star-it's sort of like Vaseline 2.0! It's perfect for dry feet, knees, elbows, and hands; for smoothing on to scrapes, burns and bites, and is a great lip balm in a pinch {and even when not in a pinch}. I keep the tube in our living room so that I can smear a bit on to Lo and Kenzie's face on our way out of the door in the mornings. Sometimes, I toss it into my bag just to have on hand because it is, in fact, handy!
