MAC MATTERS: A Long Overdue Update!

I know, I know! I've been a bad girl {and now I have a Robin Thicke song stuck in my head}. I haven't done a MAC Matters post since April, and to be honest with you, I have no idea why. Chalk it up to life, a lack of motivation, and a hitch in my planning schedule, but I'm trying to get things back on track! So here's a bit of an update...

Back in March, my purchase was this Lustre Lipstick in See Sheer. I bought it at the recommendation of the artist at the MAC counter when I told her I wanted to step outside of my box, but perhaps it was bit too out of my comfort zone, because I never wore it...

I don't know if it was the color or finish, but it was just not a lip color that called to me, so it remained in the box, totally unused saved for the swatches I did for my post. So, I made an executive decision, and opted to exchange it for...

MAC Satin Lipstick in Spice

MAC Satin Lipstick in Spice! Described on the MAC website as a "midtonal neutral nude," this is the perfect shade for me when I want to look effortlessly put together. And apparently it's a popular shade, because it's sold out online right now!

It's a great nude for my skin tone-it offers just enough warm color without making me look washed out. And I can amp up the color a bit with my choice of lip liner. This was definitely a better option for me than the See Sheer.

So now that I've disclosed this, I can now let you know that I do have purchases to share for May and June, and I plan on having one for July as well! I'll have another MAC Matters post up this week with my May selection, my June selection will go up next week, and I'll have to coordinate with the lovely Pammy Blogs Beauty for the date of the July installment, but IT WILL be up! I am recommitted to this series, as well as the next series (I think we're tentatively sticking with "NYX Fix"). So don't give up on me!
