Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips and Warming Anti-Blackhead Cleanser |
In my ongoing battle against clogged pores and blackheads, once a week, I use Biore's Ultra Deep Cleansing Pore Strips (MSRP $8.50 for 14 strips). Not only do these pore strips lift out stubborn dirt, oil and makeup, there is something oddly gratifying (albeit a little icky and perverse) about seeing the gunk that has been sucked out of your pores once you pull off the strips. Formulated with a patented system that cleans out deep-down dirt, the custom-fit strips are longer than the original strip and are twice as effective as the leading pore cleanser at getting rid of pore-clogging buildup that can cause blackheads. The perfect final step to your cleansing ritual (or the perfect way to make sure your skin is ready for any special event or occasion), the hard-working, oil-free pore strips contain tea tree oil to cleanse skin and rid pores of bacteria, witch hazel to reduce redness and inflammation, and menthol to minimize redness and provide a tingling cooling sensation.
And now I have a new weapon in my arsenal, Bioré's Warming Anti-Blackhead Cream Cleanser (MSRP $5.99). I use this every other evening with my Clarisonic, but I only concentrate it on my T-zone and particularly my nose (the only areas I tend to suffer from large pores and blackheads). This soothing, warming cleanser pampers skin as it whisks away buildup and oil. The powerful daily line of defense against clogged, congested pores contains Zeolite, a special mineral clay that warms on contact with water, and Salicylic acid, a powerful yet gentle ingredient that penetrates pores to help fight breakouts by dissolving clogged oil. Since adding this to my skin care routine, I have noticed a marked difference in the appearance of my pores and the amount of blackheads on my nose.
And while we're on the subject of Biore, have a mentioned how majorly FANTASTIC the Daily Cleansing Cloths are?!?

Biore Daily Cleansing Cloths and Make-Up Removing Towelettes |
Bioré Daily Cleansing Cloths (MSRP $10.99 for 60 ct) are double-sided cleansing cloths that exfoliate and dissolve dirt, oil and makeup. Each cloth has a textured side to for mild exfoliation and a smooth side to soothe skin while wiping it clean to deliver a luminous, healthy-looking complexion. The unique, dirt-grabbing fibers eliminate dirt, oil and any traces of makeup. I love them because not only do they smell incredible, they don't sting my eyes at all, and remove every stitch of makeup! I keep a package on my night table for when I'm too tired/lazy to get up and wash my face properly, plus they're great for traveling (my daughter keeps a pack in her locker at school to freshen up after gym)!
Most days the Daily Cleansing Cloths are sufficient for me to get squeaky clean before bed, but on those days when I've gotten super fancy with my makeup, or have used waterproof eyeliner or mascara, I reach for the Makeup Removing Towelettes (MSRP $7.99 for 30 ct). These take care of hard to remove makeup with ease, as well as dirt, grime and other environmental impurities. Developed with luxuriously soft cotton to transform your nightly cleansing routine into a truly indulgent experience, the powerfully conditioning formula never leaves behind a greasy residue—meaning no rinse required (though when I use them, they're actually the precursor to exfoliating and deep cleaning my skin, so I love that they remove all of my makeup but are not so harsh that I can't use additional products afterwards).
I need to try the cleansing cloths soon, haven't tried Biore in years!
