Makeup artist Jake Bailey achieved Perry's old Hollywood-inspired makeup look using products from Rimmel London (one of my absolute favorite drugstore makeup brands). To get the look, Bailey:
1. Defined Perry’s lash line with Rimmel London ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner in black. Bailey then used Rimmel London’s Glam’Eyes Eyeshadow Trio in “Orion” to contour Perry’s eyes. Bailey highlighted Katy’s eyelid and brow bone with Rimmel London’s ScandalEyes Shadow Stick in “Bulletproof Beige,” and finished the eyes with a rich coat of Rimmel London’s ScandalEyes Mascara in Black.
2. Bailey perfected Perry’s skin by mixing 1/3 Rimmel London BB Cream in Light with 2/3 Match Perfection Foundation in Nude to create a base. “The BB Cream sheers the foundation out and gives it a little glow,” said Bailey. Bailey then warmed Perry’s complexion with a dusting of Rimmel London’s Lasting Finish Soft Colour Mono Blush in “Pink Rose” on the apples of Perry’s cheeks.
3. Bailey completed the look by lining Perry’s lips with Rimmel London Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Lipliner in Natural, and applying a coat of Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick in “Crush.”
I think she looked absolutely stunning last night, and I loved her joke about having her own eyelash line as she presented the award for Best New Artist. It's always nice to find out that celebrities are a bit down to earth (and have a sense of humor to boot). Will you be trying to recreate Katy Perry's red carpet look? Are any of the Rimmel London products Jake Bailey used for her in your current makeup stash, or do you plan on adding any now? My inquiring mind wants to know! Leave a comment below and let me know what you think! Until next time...
