I Have Something in Common With Carrie! AKA: AnnaSophia Robb at L'Occitane

So, I'm not gonna lie-my oldest daughter will be 13 this summer and the "tween" years have proven to be a bit of a challenge. Don't get me wrong, Pey is a sweetheart: into beauty, fashion, reading, and too much social media for her own good. But I think her changing hormones are affecting us all in ways that we did not foresee.

Anyway, one of the ways I try to maintain and improve our mother/daughter relationship is by finding fun things that we have in common and can enjoy together. Right now one of those things is the new CW series, The Carrie Diaries, featuring AnnaSophia Robb as a young Carrie Bradshaw. The series is only 3 episodes in, but Peyton was hooked from the first episode, and while I'm on the fence about it {and am still trying to figure out if it's really appropriate for someone her age and maturity level}, I'm willing to watch it with her until I make up my mind about it...

While I'm still waiting to see traces of the Carrie Bradshaw I know and love in the young Carrie portrayed in the show, I have to admit that I think the actress that depicts her, AnnaSophia Robb, is adorable. The February 2013 TeenVogue cover girl, seems really down to earth {though she's been acting for years, she attended regular high school in her hometown of Denver, CO}, and she's a fan of one of my fave skincare brands, L'Occitane {I just featured their luscious Bonne Mere Body Wash here this weekend}!

AnnaSophia was spotted at the L’Occitane en Provence in New York City. She stopped by the shop after appearing on the Today show and was "in a great mood despite the cold weather and was super friendly with the staff!"

Curious to know what she picked up? {I know I am!}...

  • Shea Butter Hand Cream (MSRP $28): She loved the Shea Butter Hand Cream and said her hands felt instantly better after putting it on {I can personally attest to the wonderfulness of this luxe hand cream}.

Sounds like a pretty good haul to me! What do you think?
