Elucence Moisture Benefits Shampoo and Moisture Balancing Conditioner AKA: A Curly Girl Chronicle

Elucence Moisture Benefits Shampoo (MSRP $6 for 10 fl. oz.)- was created to both correct and prevent. A special combination of lipids, vitamins and polysaccharides provides needed hydration to correct moisture-depleted hair. To further prevent dryness, a special surfactant derived from coconut oil is used. Moisture Benefits shampoo is exceptionally color friendly. This dual purpose (gentle cleansing and conditioning formula) shampoo detangles and improves your hair's manageability and texture. Perfect for dry and/or color-treated hair. This moisture-adjusting formulation selectively determines the proper level of moisture needed. Excess moisture is simply dismissed in the lather during rinsing.

Ingredients: Prunis Persica (Peach) extract, Pimpenella anisum (Anise) fruit extract, Panax Ginseng root extract, Ginkgo Bilobika extract, cetraria islandica (Irish Moss) extract, saccharomyces cerevisiea (Brewer's Yeast) extract in purified water, sodium myreth solfate (coconut oil-derived). My Take: I LOVE THIS SHAMPOO!!!! It was the best introduction possible to the brand! It smells like fresh Georgia peaches (the smell of it alone makes me long for "wash day" and "wash day' is a pain in the neck), and unlike other shampoos that claim to be moisturizing (but actually leave my curls feeling parched), this gem actually leaves my hair feeling soft, silky and smooth! I will definitely be repurchasing this (and at the awesome price, possibly a back up or two-yes, it is that good)!

Elucence Moisture Balancing Conditioner (MSRP $8 for 10 fl.oz.) is a dual purpose moisture adjusting product. This smart formula adjusts moisture as needed and works two ways. As a one-minute rinse out, it boosts moisture levels with essential lipids and proteins. As a leave-in lotion, it provides continuous moisturizing and suppleness to unusually dry hair. These lipids and fatty acids mimic hair and scalp natural moisture. Squalane, a natural component of hair and scalp moisture is used in this formula to replenish and restore moisture balance (this special ingredient comes from olives). Lipids provide subsurface hydration, optimizing moisture levels and detangle hair to create managability. Hydrolyzed proteins process from natural wheat, lock in moisture to prevent dehydration.

My TakeThe only way I could love this more is if it smelled like the Moisture Benefits Shampoo. Other than that small drawback (because it does smell good in its own right, just not as good as the luscious shampoo), this conditioner is everything a curly girl could need: enough slip for detangling (even on dry hair), and divinely moisturizing without leaving a residue or weighing curls down.

Until next time...
