Cookies and Creme Martinis with Pinnacle Vodka AKA: The Drink of the Week!

Last night I tried my hand at bar-tending and although in reality I’m an amateur, in my mind, I was Tom Cruise in Cocktail, dancing around the kitchen, defying gravity as bottles flew through the air (but obviously this was just going down in my imagination).  Unlike most Wednesday’s, which usually consist of me getting home after a long dull day, falling asleep after Modern Family, and hoping that Friday would just hurry up and get here, this Hump Day turned out to be awesome, all thanks to... The Drink of the Week!

It all started with a request I received via a text from my wife (a.k.a. Mama Fashionista) asking me to bring home some cookies and cream.  Of course I knew she meant ice cream, but I decided to switch things up a bit.  A while back, we were  introduced to this awesome vodka brand, Pinnacle. So I jumped on their website, downloaded their list of recipes and to my surprise, there it was, my guarantee for a great evening, the ultimate recipe, the one that would make me the greatest husband in the world, the “Cookies and Crème Martini”.  It was a bingo, light bulb over my head moment, and I instantly headed to the nearest package store.

Fast forward to later that evening, when she came down from bathing the girls,  I had the drinks prepared and waiting on the counter.  As she raised her martini glass to her lips, I watched for her reaction, slightly nervous like a contestant on Top Chef (as a vet in the restaurant biz, she usually serves as the in house mixologist, and she set the bar pretty high).  But after the first sip, I knew I had done it, and all thoughts of ice cream disappeared in a flash, turning what was sure to be a typical Wednesday into a mid-week Friday full of laughs and good times.

There are a lot of words that I can use to describe Pinnacle Vodka, but I’ll settle on “awesome”.  Not only do they come in a variety of different flavors, including Chocolate, Key Lime, Cotton Candy and Cookie Dough (can’t wait to try this one!) to name a few, they’ve got a great website and Facebook page that keep you updated with new products and delicious recipes .  Oh and one great side point for those on a budget… Pinnacle is moderately priced and very easy on the wallet.

So I guess you can say I’m sold on Pinnacle (and so is the wifey).  For anyone like me who enjoys a strong but tasty drink, you’ll absolutely love Pinnacle Vodka as well.   It’s fun; it’s unique, and it’s sure to be a hit among your friends as well.  With February right around the corner, Pinnacle Vodka is a Super Bowl party MUST HAVE!   Be sure to get yours.

  2. I don't have any dark creme de cacao; but I do have light. I also have Godiva chocolate liqueur. Think I'll try it with that.
