Wastin’ away in Margaritaville indeed...
As in most households over the holidays, the liquid libations were in full effect at our abode. From vodka, to tequila, to rum, to beer and back again, the Island Lime beverages were definitely among the crowd favorites. Sure it’s not as smooth or as relaxing as sipping a goblet of Grand Marnier, but it’s fun, and the amount of empty bottles that I put out on the curb was evidence that our guests agreed.
Now while the Corona bottles stacked almost just as high, all in all, Margaritaville 5 O'Clock Cocktails Island Lime Margarita is a great alternative to beer. Served ice cold, there’s a nice hint of lime, and they manage to give you a smooth, pretty authentic margarita feel. Let’s be honest, when it comes to alcoholic beverages, there are many levels of enjoyment. If the sophistication of a good cognac is what you’re craving, then this is probably not the drink for you, but if good times and good laughs with good friends is your objective, go ahead and give these a try. You might be pleasantly surprised...
One sip of the Margaritaville 5 O'Clock Cocktails Island Lime Margarita, and I was whisked away to the tropics, sitting in front of a stage watching Jimmy Buffett strum his six string with the crowd singing along. Well not exactly, but you get the idea. Sure, there’s nothing like a strong, authentic, two sip tipsy, salt around the rim margarita. But, if you don’t have the time or the budget, these cocktails are a pretty good option with a potent 8% alcohol content.
