Anatomy of a Mani! AKA: Mama's Mani Madness

Disclaimer: I am not a nail blogger or professional (so sometimes I color outside of the lines and my cuticles look a bit ragged). I am merely a girl who LOVES nail polish! And I did this particular manicure in the car, so I think I did quite well considering the circumstances...

Want to know how I did it? Keep reading!

Yep, I used all this stuff, plus a base and top coat!

After applying a base coat to all my nails (I love essie's Ridge Filling Base Coat), I applied NCLA's fabulous Nail Wraps in Secession Strikes (I love that you get 2 sheets of 22 wraps in each packet; enough for 3-4 applications) to my thumbs and middle fingers.

I then applied Sally Hansen's Gem Crush polish in 03 Big Money (a beautiful combination of champagne colored micro glitter with chunkier pieces of holographic lilac glitter) on my ring fingers.

I saved the Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color in 901 Golden Crush for last (I didn't want to risk messing up the other nails while I held the magnet over my pointer finger to activate the polish).

And voila! I really couldn't tell you why I picked the colors that I did, so there wasn't any real rhyme or reason. I just knew that I wanted my hands to stand out and I really wanted to showcase the awesom eikat print in the NCLA prints. Quite honestly, I picked out a total of 6 polishes to work with and ended up picking them randomly out of a bag to decide which ones to use. I think my nails ended up looking pretty swell (and I can't begin to tell you how many compliments I got on them! What would you have paired the NCLA Wraps with? What's your favorite nail color of the moment? What's on your nails right now? My inquiring mind wants to know! Leave a comment below and let me know what you think. Until next time...
