Mama's Mani Madness! Avon nailwear pro+ Nail Enamel

Um... the title of this series is a work in progress; what can I say, I like alliteration! Anyway, I really enjoy nail polish and being able to experiment with different colors, designs, trends, and techniques all on my fingers and toes. To that effect, I'm always on the look out for new brands, formulas, colors, etc. to grow my ever expanding nail polish collection. As my photography skills improve (and if you lovelies request it of me), I will start to do swatches on my nails of different colors as I collect them. But to start off, I thought I'd share my discoveries with you with pictures of the bottles, etc. (Perhaps, I'll insert pictures of swatches at a later date; I'll keep you posted, if you promise to stay tuned!)

A selection from Avon's nailwear pro+ line. From l-r: barefoot beige, viva pink,  starry sky, decadence,  cosmic blue, and absinthe

Avon's nailwear pro+ Nail Enamel includes 45 new shades and 4 new finishes to play with. It is your pretty little secret to summer's hottest nails. 12 days of lasting color. Increases nail strength by 80%. High-shine finish resists dings, bangs and nicks. No formaldehyde, toluene or phthalates.

barefoot beige

barefoot beige- is your basic creamy nude. It's perfect if you work in a conservative office setting. Nude polish colors have a way of elongating the fingers, so they're also great if you have short nail beds or fingers. I also like to use nudes underneath glitter polishes. It can help to make the colors in the glitters pop, and also makes removal tons easier.

viva pink

viva pink- a basic, but very pretty, blue based pink ( I think of it as fuschia's shy cousin). It has a smooth, cream finish and is the perfect pop of colors for your toes, especially if you are a little wary of the bright, neon trend. This is London's favorite shade in the collection!

starry sky

starry sky- glittery, shimmery silver. With 2 coats (especially layered on top of white) this polish gives off a beautiful, sparkly effect and has a metallic like finish. ( I love this to use on my accent nails, toes, and it is Peyton's favorite!)

absinthe

absinthe- metallic, lime green base with micro silver glitter. Absinthe is the perfect name for this yellow/green stunner. This is one of my favorites of the six I tried. I love it on my toes (I use it on all the toes except for the second toe, which gets two coats of viva pink).

cosmic blue

cosmic blue- metallic cobalt blue, with a purple/pink duo chrome effect. This color is GORGEOUS and not for the faint of heart. It is sure to draw immediate attention to your fingers, so you must make sure that you keep your hands tidy and well moisturized when you wear it. It's beautiful to wear now, but I can't wait to use this in the fall/winter as well.

decadence

decadence- deep royal purple, with pink/silver/gold shimmer. It's hard to put in words how pretty this shade is; I even tried to take pictures on my nails, but could not do justice to this multi faceted wonder. I opted for 3 thin coats to maximize it's shimmery goodness. This is another that is beautiful for now, but will really shine in the fall and winter.

The more I experience with Avon, the more and more I am growing to like the brand. What's not to like about female empowerment, at your door service, quality products, and reasonable prices? What's your experience with the brand? Do you have an Avon lady? What's our favorite color out of this collection? What color combinations do you love? My inquiring mind wants to know! Leave a comment below and let me know what you think. Until next time...
