Dueling Shave Creams: True Blue Spa vs. eos

I'm not a fan of shave creams/gels in canisters: not only do they inevitably rust (and leave a nasty ring on the tub), I always found them to be more drying than anything else. So for a long while, I would use one of Olay's body washes (preferably one of the ones with the moisture ribbons) as a shave cream. That was until a sales associate at Bath and Body Works convinced me to give the True Blue Spa Silky Smooth Shave Cream a try. Normally I would have balked at the $12 price tag, but I'm pretty sure there was a sale going on (as there always is) and I had a coupon (as I always do), so I went ahead and bought it.

After using it only once, I completely understood why the sales associate raved about it. It really did make my legs feel silky smooth and made shaving a much easier (quicker and painless) process. I found that using it led to a much closer shave (which meant that I didn't have to do it as often, and if you're a busy mommy, you totally get why that's a plus) and I didn't need to slather on any moisturizer after using it (which can sometime lead to painful irritation). The only thing that kept the True Blue Spa cream from earning HG status was that pesky price tag....

Fairly recently, I've become addicted/obsessed with eos (evolution of smooth) lip balms (I have at least 5 of them as I type this, and plans to acquire the ones I don't yet possess). I'm so enamored with those little spheres, that when I was running low on shave cream, I decided to try theirs..

And it proceeded to lay the smackdown on the the True Blue Spa cream (sorry BBW, I still love you). I'm officially obsessed with eos shave cream in lavender jasmine! The packaging is clever and cute, you can use it to shave wet or dry (though frankly, I'm hesitant to test that particular claim), it smells absolutely DIVINE, a little goes a long way, and it offers results comparable to what I got with the TBS Shave Cream-but with a price tag under $4! Swoon!

So now I'm completely convinced that not only do I need every single eos lip balm, now I need all the shave creams too (there's lavender jasmine, island blue, pomegranate raspberry, vanilla bliss and a sensitive skin formula). Knowing myself (like I do), I'll probably end up with all of the hand creams and body lotions, though I have not tried either yet. eos has yet to disappoint me so far, so why not complete my collection?Hey, what can say? When I commit to a product or brand, I'm all in!

What is your favorite shave cream? What's your experience with eos? Is the hand cream and body lotion as good as I think they are? What about True Blue Spa? Is it worth the $12? My inquiring mind wants to know! Leave a comment below and let me know what you think. Until next time...
