I May Be In GA, But My Skin Feels Like It's In a French Rose Garden (Melvita Rose Nectar Collection)

In all honesty, at the core, I am a makeup/cosmetics junkie. But as I've gotten older, I've come to appreciate the importance of taking care of your canvas-your skin. Lately I've become a little obsessed with skin care and fine tuning my routine to take care of my biggest vital organ. So, as you can imagine, I jumped on the chance to try Melvita's new Rose Nectar Collection.

Cleansing:

Fresh Cleansing Milk ($22): This delicate lotion removes makeup and cleanses thoroughly without drying out sensitive skin. The Fresh Cleansing Milk is also developed with rose seed milk, an expert blend that combines the revitalizing properties of rose hip oil with the moisturizing benefits of rose floral water. This pampering formula reveals a supple, glowing complexion. (I use this as my sole cleanser in the morning along with my Clarisonic Mia, and in the evenings I use it to remove all of my makeup, before using an additional cleanser. I love that it is light, yet creamy and effective at both cleaning my skin and removing makeup, without over drying my skin.)

Fresh Micellar Water ($22): A soothing three-in-one cleanser, this lightweight formula removes makeup, cleanses and tones in a single step. Skin is left feeling soft, supple and supremely hydrated. Developed with gently refreshing rose floral water, this breakthrough cleanser provides direct moisture to skin. Ultra-nourishing rose essential oil helps skin retain moisture by strengthening the epidermal surface, while wild rose petal extract stimulates the circulation of moisture beneath skin’s surface. (I like to use this as a mid day refresher before the hubby gets home from work. If I haven't applied any makeup earlier in the day, I use a cotton pad to apply it all over. It removes all of my oiliness (without stripping) and preps my skin perfectly for makeup application; I like to doll myself up a bit for him.)

Facial Care:

Moisture-Replenishing Facial Gel ($37): Formulated especially for normal to combination skin, this lush, lightweight gel delicately moisturizes while quenching skin’s thirst for an instantly fresh sensation. Rice powder keeps complexion matte and shine free, while rose floral water, rose seed milk and wild rose petal extract provide intense hydration. Housed in an airless dispenser with easy-to-use pump, this nourishing gel leaves your complexion feeling fresh as the morning dew. (I love love love this moisturizing gel! It really is everything it claims to be: lightweight, lush, and nourishing. I use it in the morning and it somehow manages to balance my skin so that it is dewy but not shiny. It is amazing; probably my favorite product in the line.)

Moisturizing Rose Nectar ($42): This sheer, luxurious cream is ideal for normal to dehydrated skin. The innovative formula contains rose floral water, rose hip oil and wild rose petal extract to condition and nourish fragile skin. This pampering nectar is enriched with essential fatty acids to impart a rosy complexion that lasts all day.  (I use this rich cream as a part of my night time routine, particularly when my skin needs a little TLC, like after exfoliating. The lovely rose scent lingers and it feels like a luxurious, aromatic bedtime treat.)
