A Day in the Life: Piedmont Park (Again)

We headed back down to Piedmont Park with the lil bits. We didn't quite make it for the Farmer's Market (sigh), but it was a gorgeous day nonetheless and we enjoyed a delicious picnic of fried chicken, cole slaw, and potato salad (it was my cheat day, and I only had a spoonful each of salad and slaw, and I NEVER eat the skin on my chicken and ALWAYS only have one breast piece). We didn't walk around the park as planned, but we enjoyed watching the girls run around (and around and around) with each other...

Oh to be young and have boundless energy...

Of course I had fun with my babies and my man, but what really topped off this outing was the fact that a complete stranger walked up to us and told me that I looked like Kimora Lee Simmons! When I saw her approaching, I just knew she was going to say something about how cute the girls were (they were dancing around to music at the time), so I was so shocked when I heard the compliment directed towards me. My kids can't help but steal the spotlight most of the time, so it's nice to hear that my efforts to look nice and put together are not going completely unnoticed. With praise like that, I must be doing something right! Until next time...

Ciao, XxO
